PREVIOUS POST:   We are requesting help during JESUS IS THE WAY PRISON MINISTRY’S “MIRACLE OF CHRISTMAS”. The program is a special part of our ministry. We desire to share the LOVE of JESUS with children in Champaign, Douglas, Ford and Piatt Counties. We believe this is what the Christmas season is about.

Last year, we helped 49 families (125 children); in 2013 = 49 families (119 children); 2012 = 50 families (149 children); 2011 = 49 families (136 children); each year the need is great BUT so is GOD and we’re excited to see what He is going to do this year!

We are asking you to participate by

  1. sponsoring a “TOY DRIVE” at your church
  2. sending a team from your church to wrap the gifts on Saturday December 12th, 9:00 am – approx. 12:00pm
  3. sending wrapping paper, scotch tape, and gift tags for the volunteers to use on Saturday December 12th
  4. sending a team on December 12th, 2:00 pm – to approx. 5:00 pm to give the gifts to the children and share the love of Jesus with them
  5. make refreshments for the volunteers who will be working on Saturday, December 12th
  6. sending a love offering to “JESUS IS THE WAY PRISON MINISTRY” to help meet the expenses of this special Christmas Program.

As previously stated, there are many ways you and/or your church can be involved in this program. If you need additional information, you can contact our office at: (217) 892-4044 and ask to speak to Brenda or you can email Brenda at

If you choose to sponsor a  “TOY DRIVE” for the members of your congregation or a group from your work. We ask that you shop for gifts such as toys, hats, gloves, etc. The ages of the children we will be collecting gifts for are infants to 14 years / male & female. Please Note: Due to safety procedures, we will only accept NEW gifts with the safety seals still on the packages, as we truly want to give GOD’S best. In addition, we ask that the toys be of a non-violent nature (No guns, swords, etc.).

On Friday, December 11th between the hours of 9am-1pm; we are asking you or your team captain bring the gifts to our OUTREACH CENTER in Rantoul. On that afternoon the members of our Support Services Staff will organize the gifts. On Saturday, December 12th from 9am-appr.12:00pm; the church teams will shop for each child from the gifts we receive on the 11th, then they will wrap the gifts for distribution with labels stating: TO: (the child’s name) FROM: DAD and/or MOM. After the gifts are prepared, the toys will be distributed to the children on the afternoon of the 12th between the hours of 2pm-appr.5pm at which time we are asking that church volunteers share the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST with them.

We pray that you will be able to join with us in this opportunity to share the greatest gift of all with these children – Thank you for allowing us to share our program with you.
